Welcome to E-LASS.eu!
Established in 2013, The European network for lightweight applications at sea (E-LASS) gather stakeholders interested in lightweight design for the maritime industry. The aim is to create an organization where exchange of information and knowledge becomes easy and natural. The commitment to initiate collaboration with other networks is in line with this aim. E-LASS has over 300 members from 25 different nations.
E-LASS is operated by RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden).
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Due to GDPR we would like to inform you briefly of how and what data we collect from anyone using our website. Data security and privacy is very important to us and therefore we always try to limit the amount of data which we collect and also make sure to protect this data in the best way we can.
Contact forms on our website
If you sign up to any of our events or our newsletter, we will need you to fill in some basic contact information (name, e-mail etc.). This data is used for communication purposes only and/or in order to register for the events which we organise.

We are using Google Analytics in order to get statistics from our visitors. The collected data in the form of session cookies, is used only for statistics of general behaviour and cannot identify you as an individual. However, it does help us to get an idea of what articles or specific pages might be popular or what could perhaps be improved.

Who we share your data with
For statistics, we store and therefore share cookies with Google (Analytics) in intervalls of 14 months after which they are removed automatically. Contact information provided through our contact forms are never shared with anyone except our internet service provider, RISE’s IT department and Lundalogik who is in charge of developing the CRM which we use for our event registration form.
How we protect your data
We use anonymous data for our statistics. We use TLS-security for our website, which means all data between your computer and our server is encrypted, and due to safety reasons there is a limited number of people who can access the data shared with us. You can rest assured therefore that any information shared are in safe hands.
