Efficiency, energy savings and optimally utilized resources are key factors in today’s maritime community. Through increased cooperation S-LÄSS, the Swedish network for lightweight structures at sea, aim to contribute towards a positive and sustainable development in those areas by lightweight design an materials.

In 2016, the Swedish network was suspended to provide full engagement to the E-LASS network. However, S-LÄSS was revived in 2020 as an national sub-network to support the Swedish stakeholders within lightweight structures at sea.
